New Service Cuts Costs & Simplifies Communication (NAPSA)—Today’s workforceis on the go more thanever, with the average American spending more time in their cars than cooking or eating. Nowhere is the trend toward mobility more apparent than among small business people. These Road Warriors are always on the go, working from multiple locations or rushing from job to job. Nearly 90 percent of small businesses use a wireless device to help them work moreefficiently, but maintaining multiple phone numbers can slow them down, add expense and confuse customers. Now, small businesses can sim- plify their communication needs and significantly reduce expenses by creating a “Virtual Office to Go.” Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q), the broadband Internet communica- tions company, is introducing Everywhere Line™ for Business, a competitively-priced bundled service geared specifically to the needs of small and home-based businesses. The new package features Qwest wireless’ One Number Service, which allows a business to use a single numberfor both its wireline and wireless phone. The bundle also includes a business phone line, the most popular phone features and Voice Messaging Service. “Everywhere Line is a great service for contractors, painters, real estate agents, consultants— any business on-the-go,” said Jim Smith, executive vice president of Qwest’s small business and con- sumer markets. “Calls to the office ring through on the wireless phoneor, when the phoneis off, to a single voice mailbox. There’s no complicated forwarding—and no need to remember or share more than one number with customers or vendors.” The service is the first of sev- eral new Qwest offerings designed specifically to provide value and simplicity to small businesses. “Small and home-based busi- nesses have told us they want new packages of voice, data, Internet and wireless services,” Smith said. “Our top priority in 2001 is to meet the needs of this market with the most competitive combinations of value, innovation and service in the market.” The bundle includes CustomChoice for Business—a business phone line with a choice from 24 features including Customer ID, Call Waiting and Three-Way Calling. Customers also receive a wireless plan with 650 anytime minutes per month and no domestic long distance charges or roaming charges when calling from within Qwest’s wireless coverage area. In addition, One Number @ Service allows office and wireless phones to share the same voice messaging mailbox so all messages can beretrieved in onecall. For business owners who want all the above services plus Internet access, Qwest offers Total Package for Business, another bundle developed in response to customer needs. Both Everywhere Line and Total Package for Business repre- sent savings of up to 40 percent comparedto the cost of purchasing the products individually. Another customer benefit: charges are consolidated on a single Qwestbill. “One Number Service allows me to be the telephone ‘help desk’ while working from my home office, and to remain available—at the same number—while on-site at client offices,” said Qwest small business customer Doug Everitt, president and owner of Doug Everitt Consulting. “It allows me to be reached immediately and ‘live’ and has kept me from having to hire supportstaff.” Everywhere Line for Businessis now available anywhere Qwest wireless provides service in thefollowing states: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
